There are not many winter breakfasts as satisfying as a bowl of oats smothered in your favourite, nutritious and delicious toppings. We know that most babes have their own go-to recipes, but since you're probably ready to spice it up, try a few of our favourites. 

The Classic

If you're a LBD wearing kind of babe, a classic oats recipe might be for you! Super quick, easy and filling!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup of your milk of choice (dairy, soy, almond, coconut, etc)
1/2 cup of water

Method:
1. Add all you ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.
2. When it comes to a boil, reduce heat to simmer until the grains are soft
3. Pop a few simple and yummy toppings of your choice like fruits, nuts and spices on top

Pro tip: Add 1 serve of Protein Powder to boost yours bowl's nutrients, fill you up for longer and keep those sugar cravings at bay all morning.

 

Fancy Schmancy Oats Bowl

If you like your oats as fancy as your handbags, this bowl full of flavour, antioxidants and nourishment will become your new go-to.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1/2 cup water
1 Serve of Vanilla Protein Powder
Handful of mixed berries
1tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cacao
1 tsp Chia Seeds

Method
1. Add your oats, protein, milk of choice and water into a pan and bring to the boil.
2. When it comes to boil, reduce to simmer and add your berries
3. When grains and berries are soft and warm all the way through, remove from heat and add your cinnamon, cacao and Chia Seeds
4. Enjoy!

 

Caramelised Protein Banana Bowl

This decadent feeling oats bowl with have you forgetting that you're making a healthy choice.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1/2 cup water
1 serve Vanilla Protein Powder
1 ripe banana
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil

Method:
1. Add your oats, protein, milk of choice and water into a pan and bring to the boil and simmer until soft.
2. Heat a separate pan with coconut oil
3. Once medium warm, add your banana cut into 4 quarters, flat side facing the pan until caramelised.
4. Spoon Oats into a bowl, top with caramelised banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon
