If you’ve scrolled through social media lately you’ll know summer has arrived and people are freaking right out. So, to make sure you get the most out of the sunny season, we’ve put together your summer bucket list. Grab your fave friends and family and see how many you can tick off!

 1. Host a pool party

What better way to welcome summer than host the girls for an old school summer pool party. We’re thinking blow up oversized flamingos, Aperol Spritzes and some awesome tunes. Don’t have a pool? Pack-up the lounge-chairs and esky and head to the beach!

2. Catch a flick at the Moonlight Cinema

Make the most of the extended daylight hours and go see a movie at Moonlight Cinema’s (located in Melb, Syd, Bris, Perth & Adelaide)! BYO snacks and maybe a cheeky G&T or two and settle in with your friends or family for a new release or classic (Grease sing-along anyone?). Plus, if you’re a #DogMum the sessions are totally dog friendly so you can bring your fur baby along.

*Make sure to bring a chair or two, otherwise you’ll be left on the grass which can get real uncomfortable, real quick.

3. Plan a Picnic

Are all those brunches taking a toll on the old bank account? This warm weather makes it a perfect time to ditch the smashed avo and $18 acai bowls for some homemade dips, mini cheese platters and delicious summer fruit. Stock up on some fresh produce from your local market, and then head to a park with some blankets, pillows and a picnic basket in tow.

4. Go fruit picking

There’s nothing like the taste of freshly picked seasonal fruit. Make it into a day out with your friends and fam, and bask in the sun while picking your own strawberries, peaches or cherries- obviously taste-testing a few while you go. This is an activity kids will love just as much as the grown-ups, so it’s totally family friendly. Added bonus: a bucket of ripe strawberries makes for an amazing photo op.

5. Roadtrip!

Belting out some pop & RnB classics in the car, discovering new towns and the obligatory stop at the country bakery. Summer is the best time to plan a road trip to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some quality time catching up with friends.  For all the adventurous ones among us, fill your days jumping outside your comfort zone and learn to surf or try your hand at Stand-Up Paddle boarding. If you’re not really the outdoorsy type, try Glamping instead! Pamper yourself with all the luxuries of a hotel but still wake up to the sounds of birds and the fresh breeze (technically you can still say you went camping right?).
