From friends to business partners...

Posted by Daniel Jordan on

Hunter Baby was born in early 2010, when new mum’s Amanda Moore & Holly Kent set about creating an exclusive range of newborn and baby boys wear that was unique, stylish and affordable. Inspired by their children and immersed in the  beautiful chaos that motherhood brings, we spent 5 minutes with the talented duo.

Q. How did you two meet? Amanda and I have known each other for over 8 years now and were friends before we started working together.

Q. Describe your typical day in 5 words. Jam packed. Multi Tasking Queens.

Q. How did becoming mothers change your approach to business? Motherhood has given us new drive to work harder and create something separate to both our personal lives that we’re both incredibly proud of.

Q. What one piece of advice would you give other women wanting to start their own business? Make sure your business idea is something you’re passionate about and that there is a niche for. Surround yourself with the most skilful people to help you. ASK FOR HELP.

Q. Tell us about the decision to expand into girl’s clothing? There has been a developing interest for Hunter Baby girls pieces with the growing success of our baby boys range. We cannot wait to launch our new Girls Collection in August!

Q. What would be the pieces of wisdom you would pass on to your boys?

  • Career: do what you love - you will be far better at it than just doing something you think you should do.
  • Partners: find someone who makes you a happier version of yourself!
  • General: be kind and work hard and amazing things can happen.
